Elijah Yip is a partner in the Litigation Department at Cades Schutte LLP, a full-service law firm based in Honolulu.  He chairs the firm’s Digital Media and Internet Law practice group, which he founded.  Before joining Cades, Elijah clerked for the Honorable Samuel P. King, a federal district court judge in Honolulu.  He is the former chair of the Litigation Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association.  Elijah has taught as an adjunct professor at the William S. Richardson School of Law and a lecturer in the Communication and Journalism departments at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  He has a track record of success representing media clients on issues such as access to records, Sunshine Law, newsgathering, and defamation.

Elijah is rated “AV Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell, and is listed in Super Lawyers 2013.  In 2012, Pacific Business News selected Elijah as one of “Forty Under 40” young business leaders in Hawaii.
